Notice
  1. The use of various sports venues shall be subject to the following principle—it is for holding sports activities, and does not affect the regular sports classes, the University’s sports team training, and various sports competitions held in the school.
  2. When applying for the use of any venue, the relevant department or association in the school shall attach an activity description, and complete the renting procedures seven days before the date of the intended activity, otherwise, the sports venue will not be available. The renter shall be responsible for cleaning the venue and maintaining the relevant equipment.
  3. In case of renting by any external entity or organization, its representative, along with proper documents, needs to come in to discuss relevant matters at the Sports Office two weeks in advance. Renting may only be available after the agreement is signed and approved, and the fee is paid.
  4. Approved activities are not subject to modification or transferal to others.
  5. After the application for venue rental is approved, if a venue other than the one that has been applied for is used, the violator will be fined in an amount equivalent to twice the fee for the venue charge rate. In addition, if the venue use is in consistent with what has been applied for, the violator shall be fined in an amount equivalent to three times the fee for the venue charge rate. If the violator fails to pay the fine within the time limit from the date of notification, the head of the relevant department will be notified in a separate letter for further discipline.
  6. The renter shall be responsible for compensating any damage to buildings or ancillary facilities that take place during the use of the venue.
  7. For the maintenance of the sports facilities, for any activity with more than 1,000 persons, the renting department shall sign the Sports Venue Renting Contract (the Contract) of National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University and deposit a guarantee (the Deposit) in an amount that is twice the fee for the venue intended to rent. For an activity with less than 1,000 persons, the renter does not need to pay the Deposit but still needs to sign the Contract.
  8. Both internal and external renting of any of the University’s sports venues shall be subject to payment of a fee according to the specific charging rate for the relevant venue. The fee should be paid after the renting procedures are approved.
  9. For any activity with more than 1,000 persons, if the renter sends notice with its intent to cancel the booking, then the full amount of the liquidated damages (the LD) will be collected if the cancelation is made within three days before the date of the intended rental; 2/3 of the LD will be collected if made within four to seven days before the date of the intended rental; 1/2 of the LD will be collected if made within 8 to 14 days before the date of the intended rental, and 1/3 of the LD will be collected if made within 15 to 30 days before the date of the intended rental.
  10. If the school has to use any venue due to any special event, it may notify the renter one month in advance to cancel any booking for its own use. The venue fee and Deposit paid will be refunded without interest. The renter shall not object to it.
  11. Even if a sports venue is rented, the sports needs of the school’s faculty and students should be taken into account.
  12. Use of sports venues by NDL and CIC staff shall be limited to non-peak hours. The peak hours of each sports venue shall be those specified in the Sports Office’s announcement or the Ballgame Pass.
  13. Natatorium User Pass holders may use the outdoor swimming pool for free.
  14. All renters shall strictly abide by all management rules of the University.
